Type: One-time Class

Class Experience In this hands-on course, learners will be introduced to 3 great math concepts: less than, greater than and equal to. Before we begin learning the concepts, children will be identified and welcomed into the class. Then we will move forward by reviewing several numbers and identifying which one is less and which one is more.

After each child has grasp those concepts, we will begin learning what each symbol stands for. Then I will introduce the concepts together and begin allowing each student to help me solve several problems. Concepts will be reviewed as needed during the class.

Children should be able to identify numbers 1-20.

Learning Goals The overall goal for this course allows children to become aware of greater than, less than, and equal to symbols.
Homework I always encourage parents to ask open ended questions in reference to the class after your student has finished. Wait for their responses and allow them to visually show you what they have learned.
