Class Experience In this 4-day course, students will begin learning concepts “for most” and reviewing addition, subtraction, and multiplication. This is a fun and creative learning environment that allows children to use manipulatives to help them problem solve. This approach gives children an opportunity to see things in different way and gives them an opportunity to enjoy learning. This is an open-ended class that allows children to communicate and answer questions in a pressure free environment. We use lots of fun and creative items to solve math problems.
Learning Goals At the end of this 4-day session, your learner should be able to complete all 3 math concepts in a fun and creative way.
Supply List

·A set of numbers 1-10 (magnetic numbers, numbers cut out on paper)

·Dry erase board and maker or paper and pencil.

Class Experience I provide one on one tutoring for Pre-K through 2nd grade math, reading, and writing. All learners will have a different need and I will do my best too met each need. As an educator and intervention specialist, I can provide individualized guidance that will help each learner. Parents will have an opportunity to provide me with information on what is needed when they register their learner. I can also use the curriculum that I have to meet the need of each student.

A few examples of what I offer
Math: One to one correspondence; and other areas in math
Reading: Letter and sounds, CVC and blending, Handwriting
Many different hands on techniques

Here is a Journal that allows each learner to right down their thoughts and ideas ( they can also bring this journal to class if they would like). Please know that this is a great personal and special resource they can feel excited about

My teaching style is Montessori inspired and it is very open-ended.I have several different teaching styles due to having many years in the educational field.
Montessori -This method of education is based on self directed activities, hands-on learning and collaborative play. In Montessori classrooms children make creative choices in their learning, while the teacher offers age-appropriate activities to guide the process.
Learning Goals Learners will receive guided instruction in one of the three areas (reading, writing, or math).
Progress Parents can assess their child after each session and congratulate their leaner for working so hard.

Summary: Let’s talk about the holidays you celebrate.
Schedule: 30 mins/ class Size: 7 to 9

Class Experience In this Hands-on Montessori class, students will receive an opportunity to talk about the holidays they celebrate. Students will be allowed to bring small items to help them explain different seasons in their household. Everyone is different and it is very exciting to find out what other families and cultures celebrate. This is also a class that allows children to see the difference in each other.
Learning Goals Student will improve their knowledge of knowing the importance of celebrations in every culture. They will also learn difference between cultures and why they are all important.
Supply List Please feel free to bring one item that you us to help celebrate one of your special holidays.
External Resources Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Moveable Alphabet, Letters, Sounds and Words “With A Montessori Approach”

Summary: This class will allow learners and opportunity to master letter recognition, sounds, spelling, and an opportunity to make complete sentences.
Schedule: 30 mins/ class Size: 5 to 8
­Age: 4 to 7 yrs. old Cost: $60
Class Experience During this hands-on class, learners will be taught how to identify letters, sounds, word building, and begin making complete sentences.  This class is a very engaging course that will allow learners to talk about letters that interest them. This is a pressure free class, and no one is right or wrong (everyone is welcome to give insight). This is a Montessori style class and very open-ended. All learners will be able to interact with each other throughout the class time and they will also be asked to help answer questions if they would like.

Summary: Learners will engage in conversation and get great tips and ideas that they can utilize when conquering stress and peer pressure.

Class Experience During this class, learners will begin learning the definition of several words and how each one can affect them. After we have talked about the definition of the word peers, we will look at ways that our peers and others can influence us. The teacher and learners will engage in conversation and talk about topics given during each class. These topics will be open-ended and allow all learns to listen and respond if comfortable.
Learning Goals To become your best self (the best version of you).
Homework Work on you and encourage someone else.
